Blue Blood details one of sport’s greatest rivalries – Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill basketball, and details the emergence, growth and fierce competition that has existed between these two schools, which are located only eight miles apart. Each month thereafter, culminating with the final volume being released during March Madness, a new volume will be released that will detail the history of the rivalry – chronologically. The final volume will detail the last two seasons; where UNC and Duke won back-to-back NCAA National Championships, which has only added to this amazing rivalry. 4. Volume 4: 1970’s – 1980’s, Plus current-events column on first Duke-Carolina game on February 9 in Durham. Scheduled for release February 10, 2011.
5. Volume 5: 1990’s – 2010, Plus current-events column on rgular-season finale between Duke and UNC on March 5 in Chapel Hill. In addition to allowing readers to relive the past, the eBook will also look forward into the future of the rivalry, in particular the arrival of highly touted freshmen Harrison Barnes (UNC) and Kyrie Irving (Duke).
