Welcome back to campus, we’re excited for a new semester of DSAC!! Our first event will be held next Monday 1/30 in Social Sciences 136 at 8:00 pm. We’ll be showcasing recent projects from last semester, covering how you can get involved with project teams this semester, and more. Come out to learn more about what we do and how to get involved! If you are interested in joining a project team for this semester, we highly recommend attending. 🎉

Intro to Modeling Workshop in R - 7:30 PM on Thursday 12/1

Come to our modeling workshop this Thursday at 7:30 PM led by grad student Eli Gnesin. Eli works at Sports Reference, so he will be answering questions about the job and data science at the end of the workshop. Location details will be finalized soon, but we hope to see you on Thursday night! 🎉

Want to learn how to code? Took STA 101 but want to learn more? We’ve got you covered! 📊

Tuesday (9/13) - If you’re a beginner, start here! We’ll give you an intro to R and git and some basic functionality to get you started.

Tuesday (9/20) - In our data wrangling workshop, you’ll learn how to tidy and clean sports data, and we’ll be going throw how to manipulate data using the dplyr and tidyverse packages.
