Went out to paint the purple cliffs. Special place for me as the young boys learning to fish often came here. It was actually hot and I had to find some shade by the car.

It was a glorious day on the Animas River- worried about the wind but it was okay!

Such fond memories of our summers in Creede. We had the best of times. This old relic of a barn is in full use in town. So much history there.

Hollyhock season came and went in the snap of the fingers. This was a fun morning by the the Sky Steps. I visited with every stepper who came by including four people from Holland. So if you are lonely go out and paint!!! This is now hanging in my studio at the Smiley Art Room.

Multi tasking today. Watching football and preparing these paintings to send to the Gateway Museum in New Mexico. It is always hard to choose what to send but I thought here was something for everyone. They will be there for a few months. Hope to get down there to see them on the wall.

Lots of fun happening during the Plein Air Artists Colorado 28th Annual Juried National Exhibit & Sale

PAAC's artists will be "Painting the Town" Tuesday, Sept 2 thru Friday morning, 
Sept. 5th.

The artists will be spread throughout Central City, CO and the surrounding areas. Come on up and see them Paint the Town.

Finished works will be on display and for sale along with the juried works at
The Art Gallery in Washington Hall, 117 Eureka St., Central City

The public is also invited to our Reception and Award Ceremony, Friday, 
Sept 5th, 5 pm - 8 pm

I am pleased to have a painting accepted into this exhibition. This is a very large group of over 400 members and southwest Colorado is not often represented.
