Loveland, Colorado To Replace Its Oldest Chairlift This Summer
Lift 7 at Loveland Valley will be replaced over the summer.
Loveland Ski Area is getting a new chairlift.
The Colorado mountain just received the final stamp of approval from the USDA Forest Service to replace Lift 7 at Loveland Valley. Replacement will begin in the summer of 2025, and should be completed for the 2025-2026 season.
The new lift replaces a 42-year-old fixed grip double chair. The replacement will feature chairs with space for four, though Loveland plans to only load it with three people. That decision was made in hopes of providing more space and comfort for guests, particularly beginners. The lift is manufactured by Leitner-Poma.
“This new lift is all about creating a better experience for our guests,” said Clear Creek Skiing COO Rob Goodell in a press release. “By giving beginners more space to get comfortable loading, we're helping families and new skiers feel. confident from their very first run. It's an investment in the future of skiing and riding at Loveland.”
