We’re so proud of our amazing PCMF faculty and alumni for their incredible performances just a few days ago! 🎻✨

🌟 Chen Zhao (violin faculty at PCMF), Michael Whitson (PCMF Founder and Director), Emiko Wong (cello alumna), and Erik Petrovich (viola alumnus) joined forces for a stunning performance of Brahms Sextet No. 1!

🌟 Just days later, Chen Zhao took center stage as the soloist in the breathtaking Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto with the Cal Poly Symphony. Making this performance even more special, PCMF alumni Emiko Wong and Erik Petrovich were also part of the orchestra!

Moments like these highlight the extraordinary talent and community spirit that define PCMF. Bravo to our faculty and alumni! 👏🎶

🎶 Knoxville Chamber Music Society Recital – Saturday, Oct 19, 2024
Viola professor Eric Wong will perform a program featuring:
• Telemann Fantasy No. 1 in E-flat Major for Solo Viola
• Beethoven Sonata for Viola and Piano, Op. 24 “Spring”
• Beethoven Sonata for Viola and Piano, No. 10, Op. 96
Accompanied by pianist Hyunsoo Kim

🎶 Brahms Sextet Performance – Thursday, Nov 14, 2024 at 7:30 PM
Join us for a performance of Brahms’ Sextet No. 1 featuring PCMF faculty Michael Whitson (viola) and Chen Zhao (violin), alongside alumni Erik Petrovich (viola) and Emiko Wong (cello). Also joining them are Emily Lanzone (violin) and Megan Chartier (cello).

🎶 Cal Poly Symphony Fall Concert – Saturday, Nov 16, 2024 at 7:30 PM
Violin professor Chen Zhao will perform The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto with the Cal Poly Symphony, joined by alumni Emiko Wong (cello) and Erik Petrovich (viola), who will also perform with the orchestra.

✨ PCMF Student Spotlight: Rachel, Fiona, and Elizabeth ✨

We are so excited to see these familiar faces starting their grad school journey together at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music! 🎶❤️ Rachel shared, “I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Chen at PCMF before school started, both in chamber and private lesson settings. It made the transition into grad school feel a lot easier, and getting to meet some of my future studio mates was so much fun! It was great to already have some really good friends when I got to school, and we’ve been exploring the city together since we got here!”

We’re so proud of these amazing musicians and can’t wait to see what they accomplish!🌟
