Please take a moment today to thank a veteran. The freedoms we have today are due to the sacrifices that many have made in the past. To those who have served, we appreciate and sincerely thank you.

Lake Highlands Wildcat Battalion Strengthens Community Ties with F.L.A.G. Program
On September 16, the Lake Highlands Wildcat Battalion Army JROTC Program partnered with the Moss Haven Elementary 4th Grade students to lead a memorable F.L.A.G. (Fly, Lower, & Gather) Program training session.
The training highlighted the importance of honoring our nation’s flag and provided hands-on instruction in properly folding and raising the American flag on the school’s flagpole. Cadets from the Wildcat Battalion guided the elementary students through the steps, ensuring they gained both respect for the symbol and the skills to uphold this important tradition.
This collaborative event not only taught valuable lessons in patriotism and responsibility but also showcased the ongoing commitment of the Wildcat Battalion to serve as role models within the Lake Highlands learning community. By partnering with younger students, the cadets are building strong connections that inspire pride, leadership, and unity across campuses.
The Lake Highlands Wildcat Battalion looks forward to continuing programs like this that reinforce character, leadership, and community spirit throughout the district.
