Shaping the Future of Work 🏛️🚀

What an incredible honor it was to serve as a panelist tonight for "The Future of Work: Black Women & Career Mobility in a Changing Landscape," hosted by the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

We had an essential, high-level dialogue about navigating the rapidly evolving corporate and technological ecosystems. Alongside brilliant leaders from Amazon and AWS, I had the privilege of sharing my insights as an AI-Powered Learning Strategist and the Founder of The Broken Gavel™.

We dived deep into how artificial intelligence, data, and changing workforce dynamics impact career trajectory and how professionals can strategically position themselves to lead.

A massive thank you to the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter for curating such an impactful platform, to our moderator Courtney J. Lewis, and to my fellow panelists Tamara Allen, Sabrena Alvin, and Sabrina Carter.

One of the moments from 2025 that still means so much to me was receiving an International Impact Book Award for The Broken Gavel: A Sneak Peek. ✨

What makes the recognition so meaningful is that people truly understood the vision behind what I was building.

When I created The Broken Gavel™, I never intended for it to be just a traditional memoir sitting in a single category or genre. I wanted to create an immersive educational ecosystem that blended storytelling, legal ethics, case studies, reflection, discussion, podcasting, and lived experience into one experience.

At first, I was honestly nervous because it was unconventional. Most books stay neatly inside one lane. The Broken Gavel™ intentionally challenged that idea.

Readers are not just reading the story. They are engaging with legal ethics reflections, discussion questions, case-study analysis, educational conversations, and deeper dialogue about justice, accountability, power, and personal advocacy.

Seeing universities, readers, professionals, book clubs, and supporters connect with the uniqueness of that vision has been incredibly rewarding.

Receiving international recognition for a project that dared to do something different reminded me that originality still has impact.
