The Duluth Citizens Climate Commission, which organized earlier this year, is hosting a Climate Town Hall of Sept 17th (6pm to 8pm | 1710 E Superior St | doors open at 5:30). Citizens from Duluth are invited to gather and share their hopes and dreams for a greener Duluth. This is just one part of Climate Week, which runs Sept 14th through the 20th.

Harbor City International School is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and student-centered 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional to support an individual student with specialized learning and behavioral needs. The paraprofessional will work under the direction of a licensed special education teacher and collaborate with the student’s educational team to help implement individualized instruction, accommodations, and support strategies.

Requirements
High school diploma required plus 2 years college, AA degree or equivalent
OR taking the ParaPro assessment with passing score.
Pass a background check.

The last three Tuesdays have been busy at HCIS.🎉 We traversed Duluth with over 30 of our incoming students- bringing them to community organizations such as the Duluth Folk School, the UMD Sports and Health Center, and Spirit of the Lake Community Arts. And we got there via the DTA (Duluth Transit Authority) with passes provided by Downtown Duluth! 🚌 We recognize how important knowing how to use public transportation is for young people and built these experiences to foster confidence in using such a vital community resource.
