Throughout the year we may have special events that are an additional cost to members. However, we try our best to keep the costs reasonable and we try to supplement the cost as best we can. We accept cash at the events! Barley's Angels - Duluth Superior is very excited to be re-launching a regional branding effort and looking to all our current members to help us grow and educate more women craft beer enthusiasts. Barley's Angels is a growing collection of individual chapters around the world that work with craft beer focused breweries, brewpubs, restaurants, alehouses and other public beer establishments to advance the female consumer craft beer enthusiast, resulting in increased patronage and revenue from women, while encouraging education and interest in beer among this often under-recognized demographic group.

- Barley's Angels was founded February 2011 with the first chapter meeting at Rogue Ales Public House in Portland, Oregon.
- There are now over 30 Chapters world wide.
- Chapters exist in six countries: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Germany, UK, USA. Barley's Angels - Duluth Superior is NOT just a social, beer-drinking club for women. Barley's Angels respect beer and brewing, have a thirst for education, enjoy beer responsibly and act appropriately at all times. Where do the fees I pay go? Keep in mind Barley's Angels – Duluth Superior is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization. The fees you pay go toward any operating costs like rental space for meetings and events, tasting and speaker costs when applicable, merchandise, membership prizes, booths at beer festivals when appropriate, food for meetings and other costs like printing and marketing materials. We also supplement the costs of special events like bus tours and beer dinners.

Scholarship Alert!

This fall, the MNCBG will award Diversity in Brewing scholarships for the Dakota County Technical College Brewing and Beer Steward Technology certificate program.

Applications are now open for the program and the scholarships, which will support the educational goals of people who are currently underrepresented in our industry. Scholarships are open to women, people of color, LGBTQ+ and non-binary people, and people from the disabled community.

Three cheers for Shatter the Ceiling! Today's the day to try the 2021 Pink Boots Collaboration Brew!

$1 of each pint will go to the Pink Boots Society (education for women in the beer industry). There are only about 3 barrels of this special brew available. Try to get up there within the week if you want to try it!

They’re recommending making reservations, especially with rainy weather when the patio is closed. Tables are limited to 6 people and they can’t push anything together (per state mandate).

Today we are tapping our Pink Boots brew, Shatter the Ceiling IPA! We only have a few kegs at our taproom in Two Harbors, so be sure to visit us soon to get a pint!
Shatter the Ceiling refers to the invisible barrier to upward progress that many women experience across multiple fields, and efforts to both call attention to it, and work to remove it. The intention for this beer was to have a darker, hazier IPA-type beer that would showcase the Pink Boots Hop Blend. Special B was included to give the color, and also to potentially provide a little raisin flavor. A portion of the proceeds from this beer with go to the Pink Boots Society. Barley's Angels Duluth-Superior helped us come up with the name!
