UMD Hockey Cheer Team raises $7K to go to Frozen Faceoff Championship The UMD Hockey Cheer Team is headed to Denver, Colorado, after raising travel funds to support the men's hockey team at the Frozen Faceoff Champions.

We’ve been given the incredible opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado to cheer on the Dogs at the Frozen Faceoff Championship 🐾🏒

As a self-funded club, our team covers the majority of our own expenses. In past years, the championship was held in Minnesota, which made travel much more manageable. With the tournament now being hosted at campus sites, the cost of flights and hotels has made this trip much more expensive than anticipated.

We recently had the chance to travel to Grand Forks for the semifinals, and it was such an amazing experience cheering on the Bulldogs in person. We would love the opportunity to bring that same energy to Denver for the championship.

To help make this trip possible without placing the full financial burden on our members, we’ve started a Frozen Faceoff Championship Fundraiser. Any donation—big or small—means so much to our team and helps us get one step closer to cheering on the Dogs!
