Shing-a-Ling Sailing

This is Shing-a-Ling. She’s a 33’ J/99 racer/cruiser sailboat dream machine. The first video is her slicing into 15-18 knot breeze in max fast upwind mode making about 7 knots only 24-28 degrees or so off the (apparent) wind. The second video shows her ghosting along doing 6+ knots in light downwind breeze. She is a pleasure to sail in all conditions and we love her.

2026 Lake Superior Offshore Champion

We have never sailed better as a team as we did today. 3 out of 3 first place finishes to win the LSYA International Triangle regatta. 300 miles over six days.

Team Shing-a-Ling firing on all cylinders today on the 95 mile Houghton to Bayfield race. Leaving nothing on the table, we drove hard start to finish and won our third bullet against tough experienced competition. Love this boat and love this crew!

Grand Marais put on a fireworks show for all the sailors setting off on the Lake Superior Yachting Association International Triangle race tomorrow!
