The Paisley Project The Paisley Project is a community dedicated to the support and empowerment of widows Becoming a widow changes who you are.

The Paisley Project is an organization designed to help widows not only to survive the initial grief after the loss of a spouse, but to help them move beyond mourning and figure out what kind of person they want to become. You won’t be the person you were before. But we can help you figure out who you will become, and new life can be filled with wonder, joy and meaning. The Paisley Project provides concrete resources, practical information, and honest insights into the wacky, irreverent, sometimes gritty but occasionally humorous life of a widow.

Today marks sixteen years since Pat died.

We met as kids, so there are a lot of years—and a lot of stories—to remember. Our grandchildren never met him, but they know him as Granddad. His favorite candy, our family stories, and the things that still make us laugh keep him part of our lives.

I couldn’t have pictured what these sixteen years would hold. More family to love, friendships I treasure, and work that means so much to me.

Through Paisley Project I get to bring women together who understand this experience. We make room for honest conversations, creativity, adventure, and plenty of laughter. I love watching women find connection and discover what they want next in their lives.

Today I’m remembering Pat and feeling grateful for the people who have helped shape the life I’m living.

What remains still matters. 🤍
