Yesterday, our ACCE Student Ambassadors had the opportunity to join Delegate Lily Franklin for a tour of NRCC’s Dublin Campus!

Our students enjoyed showing her around, exploring some of NRCC’s programs and facilities, and sharing their experiences with ACCE.

Meet Seanna Perkins, a 2022 NRCC graduate and former Giles County ACCE student!

After graduating from New River Community College, Seanna continued her education at Virginia Tech and has since returned home to Pearisburg, where she is now teaching English at Giles High School.

From giving back through her ACCE service hours to now educating students in the community that helped support her own education, Seanna’s journey shows how an investment in local students can come full circle. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and love that she continues to share ACCE with the next generation of students!

This summer, ACCE students gave back in a BIG way!

Together, our students completed more than 14,000 hours of volunteer service throughout their hometowns and across the New River Valley!

From volunteering with local nonprofits and churches to supporting schools, fire departments, community events and more, ACCE students spent their summer making a difference in the communities that invest in them.

14,000+ hours. Hundreds of acts of service. One incredible community. 🌎✨💙
