🚁 LEARNING TO NEW HEIGHTS! 🚁

Today, our entire South Grant Elementary family got a front-row seat to an AMAZING learning experience! 💙💛

As part of 1st Grade’s Human Body Unit, our Panthers had the incredible opportunity to see a flight medic helicopter land at our school! 🚁👩‍⚕️🩺
What started as a lesson about the human body came to life right before our eyes! Our students got to see firsthand how medical professionals and flight crews work together to help people when they need emergency care. ❤️
There’s nothing quite like taking learning outside the pages of a book and into the real world! 📚➡️🌎
A HUGE thank you to the flight crew for giving our Panthers an experience they will not soon forget! 🐾💙💛🚁✨

🌟 Look at Our Kindergarteners Grow! 🌟

Our kindergarteners have been working hard, setting goals, practicing, and celebrating their progress! 🎉
They have been working hard as Mathematicians to successfully count to 2️⃣0️⃣! Every number counted, every mistake corrected, and every little bit of practice is a step toward success! 👏

We love watching our little learners set goals, work hard, and see what they can accomplish! 💙💛

Today, our little artists celebrated creativity, courage, and collaboration for INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY! They kicked off the day by reading Peter H. Reynolds’ beautiful book, The Dot, and talked about what it means to "make your mark" on the world.

Afterwards, students grabbed their markers, paint, and crayons to create their very own unique dot masterpieces! 🎨✨ We are so proud of their bravery and imagination today.

We celebrated our students who participated in the Summer Reading Challenge this week! Students who completed their summer reading Bingo card participated in fun activities and received rewards. Six students were recognized for completing a “blackout” on their Bingo card! Congratulations panthers! We are so proud of your dedication 💙🐾💛📚

What Does Learning Look Like in PreK? 💛
It looks like exploring, building, creating, and learning through play!
Our PreK students are:
• Building social skills through play and teamwork
• Practicing math and literacy in learning centers
• Strengthening fine motor skills through cutting, writing, and hands-on activities
• Exploring new ideas and learning how things work
• Developing independence, confidence, and a love of learning
So much learning happens through little hands, curious minds, and big imaginations! 🌟
