We had the best week celebrating good ole carnival 🎡 fun! We played carnivals games and won lots of prizes! We loved making some yummy carnival eats too! We made hot dogs, cotton candy, fresh squeezed lemonade and yummy caramel apples 🍎 We also had a blast at our yearly trip to Chuck E Cheese. It’s always a huge hit with the kids!

We had a super busy week “visiting” Venice Italy 🇮🇹 We loved making cannoli cups and Italian sodas. We measured, mixed and filled pastry cups with a yummy cannoli filling. We topped our Italian sodas with whipped cream and a cherry 🍒 So good!
On Wednesday we had a visit from the amazing Magic Fred! He made things appear and disappear and even made 1 of our friends float in the air!!
For the next 2 weeks we will be having fun at our own “carnival”! Be sure to check back to see all the fun we’ll be having!

Hola from Spain where we celebrated Santa Cruz de Tenerife! We learned a few Spanish words and phrases and how there lots and lots of bright beautiful colors. For art we created Spanish dancers with pompoms, feathers and colorful streamers. We also made beautiful fans to keep us cool. For our cooking activities we made a yummy kid friendly sangria. 🍊🍋🍋‍🟩We actually had to make 2 batches because our friends loved it so much! We also made a roasted potato dish and dip called patatas bravas. We just love to cook! Our field trip this week was a trip to the movies!🎥 We enjoyed watching Bad Guys 2 and having a yummy treat of popcorn 🍿!

We had a super busy and fun week! We celebrated Diwali! We made beautiful versions of rangoli, where we glued paper onto flower patterns. We also made colorful sand art creations. The kids loved making Hummus & Naan bread. They just love measuring and mixing! We also had a visit from Miss RaRa, the yoga instructor. We learned how to stretch and how important it is to listen to our bodies. We can’t wait for her to visit again next month. Curious Creatures also came for a visit! We learned all about the animals and even got to feel, touch and hold some!

Week #2 of celebrating Mardi Gras was a blast! We played a fun dice game and passed the coins to win prizes. We were so creative and worked in teams to make parade floats. There were lots of beads, streamers, tissue paper and GLUE involved! 😂 We also made our version of the traditional Mardi Gras King Cake…..we mixed, spread a filling and added colored sugar to the final product…..they were so yummy! We have quite the little chefs at SSR2! We also had a visit from Time To Clay. We loved painting our own ice cream bowls! Check back next week to see where we will be celebrating our next carnivale!

What a fun week celebrating Mardi Gras! 💜So much fun that we decided to keep it going next week too! 💚This week we made Mardi Gras inspired playdough and beautiful frames that we will put our pics in.💛 We also had our first field trip to Tyngsboro Sports Center! Wow was that fun! ⚽️

Check out our 1st week of summer camp! We traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷 to celebrate Carnivale. We made beautiful masks and colorful birds. We had fun making torn paper Brazilian flags and watch them play in the World Cup ⚽️! We made some yummy Brazilian chocolate 🍫 Truffles too. Check back next week to see where we travel to!
