We’ve been out in the field the past two weeks in Soil Science Lab, looking at soil pits and learning how to use different field instruments. Many thanks to the soil judgers who have been helping!

More scenes from the National Soil Judging Contest last week around Raleigh, North Carolina! The Aggies spent four days learning about soils in the area and two days in competition. We described 24 different soil profiles and landscapes!

Representing Delval were Grace Lettero ‘27, Karson Hair ‘26, Brianna Mascali ‘26, James Goss ‘26, Adrianna Lewis ‘26, Finn Keenan ‘26, Nick Carango ‘26, Arianna Vantrease ‘26, Lucia De Maso ‘27, Alex Lacey ‘27, and Aaron Sheckler ‘26. The team was coached by Steve Dadio and Jaclyn Fiola.
