Jacksonville Climate Coalition

Jacksonville Climate Coalition Jacksonville is threatened by a warming climate, a threat that city and state leaders have been slow to recognize.

The Jacksonville Climate Coalition works to inspire people to demand bold action to shield us from rising waters and dangerous heat waves. Jacksonville Climate Coalition is an organization of nonprofits, businesses, and individuals working together to create a more sustainable and resilient Jacksonville. Mission

To work collectively in Jacksonville to propel equitable and proactive solutions that

address the cause and effects of climate change through advocacy, education, and community involvement. We achieve our mission by:

* Advocating for urgent and bold actions by public officials to address climate change and
make our communities more resilient,

* Raising awareness and educating residents about resiliency and climate change,

* Organizing and empowering citizens from diverse backgrounds to get involved, and

* Ensuring our efforts are transparent, equitable, and inclusive, and involve all local
stakeholders and affected communities.

Despite the stats, young adults on the First Coast have more reasons to be hopeful, than hopeless. Find out why tomorrow morning when our Community Engagement Lead Jalicia Lewis joins the First Coast Connect panel at 9 AM on 89.9 FM WJCT!
