Our Fall Bambird Scramble is now open for registration — a fun, flexible, 9-week Mahjong league where local players mix, mingle, compete a little, and connect a lot.

SCRAMBLE SZNNNN IS OVER 🎊

Our inaugural BAMBIRD Scramble season ended the way it should: with tacos, laughter, and a whole lot of pride for our players. Bottle Theory set the scene, the taco bar fueled the celebration, and we crowned our champions:

I am so excited to share this combination! The moment I saw these tiles from Ivey Lee Mahjong, I knew I needed them! I spent my childhood through collegiate years in San Diego county and the images on these tiles brought back so many memories. We were California transplants so we had visitors every year and it always included a trip to La Jolla, where my cousins lived. Everything from the sand dollars to the Windansea Surf Shack to the Sea Lions. These were all regular elements of living in Southern California that we knew like the back of our hands. What visitor to San Diego hasn’t made their way to the La Jolla beach to see the Sea Lions or watch the paragliders sail effortlessly out over the ocean?

I am fortunate that my family is still in California so these icons are familiar to my children as well.

Thank you Ivey Lee Mahjong for such a perfect set. The attention to detail in making all of the flowers California native wildflowers was perfection. And the shell dice dish was the cherry on top! (Just missing a nod to Warwick’s 😍)

If you are looking for a gorgeous set that takes you to the coast of Southern California, this may be the one for you. It is amazing paired with Tigre de Tartan’s shell mat.
