At Grand Rapids Public Library, face-out displays installed by Library Furniture International are used to draw patrons into their aisles and bring more visibility to their collections.
"We invested in face-out displays to insert into our collection bays because we wanted our books and materials to market themselves and draw patrons into our aisles. The displays include a front lip that prevent them from being pushed back during use and a deep angled book rest that even holds an epic page-turner without crushing it. Additionally, the high back rest accommodates large nonfiction titles that don't fit securely into a standard easel without toppling over. We installed the face-out displays in our adult nonfiction collection, alternating large face-out with small face-out to increase visibility between aisles and through the stacks.
