Major George S. Welch Elementary School

Our dedicated staff members brought Caesar Rodney along for the week as they facilitated a STEM camp at Welch. Thank you ladies for making this camp possible.

Owen was able to take Caesar Rodney to Welch Elementary’s Camp Innovation’s STEM camp this week. He learned about space, made some new capybara friends and took a ride in a boat and on a wearable invention!

The Whittakers have taken Caesar Rodney to Arizona. Great job mimicking a cactus Luke, Adalind, and Marcella.

Caesar Rodney spent a little time with Lennon, Remi, Hallee, Rory, Juliana and Lucy this summer. This is our first entry in our Where in the world is Caesar Rodney spotlight. Just snap a picture with Caesar Rodney and send it to [email protected] so we can see what you have been doing this summer.

Mrs. Evans fourth grade class applied their knowledge of angles to design and build a miniature golf course. After completing their projects, they invited Mrs. Gibbon’s kindergarten class to test out the course and enjoy learning and playing together.

We welcomed back former Welch Elementary students today as part of their Senior Stroll. It was great to see them and we are wishing each of them the best of luck. Congratulations to the class of 2026!

The fifth grade took a field trip to the Dover Motor Speedway today to learn all about the track and the events that take place there.

Today was the fifth grade Moving On Ceremony. We are so proud of them. We know they will do great things in the future.

Today we celebrated the Class of 2038. Their futures look bright and their possibilities are endless. Congratulations to the Major George S. Welch Elementary School kindergarten graduates.

Another successful field day in the books. Thanks to Mr. Bendolph and the PTA for all their efforts and support to make it a great event for kids.
