Dover High’s Japanese Club is hosting a Japanese Culture Night on Thursday, March 12th. This event provides an opportunity to experience and explore Japanese culture with cuisine, hands-on activities, and exhibits highlighting the Japanese culture. Miyagi Prefecture school students are presenting the activities with the community. Miyagi Prefecture is The Sister State of the State of Delaware. Our sister school is Kakuda Senior High School in Kakuda City, Japan.

We have tables for:
Traditional games
Japanese snacks
Writing in Japanese
Origami

The Dover High School Japanese Club is hosting their 2nd LAN party of the school year on Friday, February 20th, 2026. From 6pm to 12am in the cafeteria at Dover High School! It is a great time to socialize and play games of all kinds! Video, card, and board! You can bring your own TVs, computer monitors, and consoles! This event is for 8th - 12th grade students. Enter through the back of the school.

Join DAS Dover on November 8, 2025 from 1-4PM at the Kent County Public Library for in person meetups for anime, games and good times! Our meetings are age 13 and up only. Find us in the library conference room. Parent or other responsible adult must be present in the library, including during programs, for any child/youth under the age of 16. Food and drinks are not allowed in library meeting rooms and must be consumed outside the library.

Hello Everyone! On Saturday, November 8th, the Japanese club at three local schools are sponsoring a vendor market to raise funds for our trip to Japan in the Summer of 2026. The event will be at Campus Community School (350 Pear Street, Dover, DE 19904). Set up is from 7am to 8am. The sale is from 8am to 12pm noon. The space fee is $35.00 per vendor. Signing up is required so please fill out the Google Form below if you plan on attending as it will help with organizing space.

Please share this with anyone who could be a vendor or would like to attend.

Please fill out the form and pay your vendor fee online or in person by November 6th.

Delaware Anime Society is excited to announce that our Dover Chapter is moving from Kent County Public Library to Dover Public Library starting in January 2026! The club aims to have its Dover chapter in a more accessible, centralized location. The library is located at 35 Loockerman Plaza, and the DART bus route has a stop very close to the library at Loockerman and Federal Street. Dover Chapter President Mish Lapinski is retiring after 20+ years of club service including 6 years as President, and Vice President Charles Miller will take over her role. We thank Mish for her service! Come join DAS for monthly meetings featuring games and anime at Dover Public Library starting on 1/10/26 from 1-4:45PM! The club is free to join and accepts anime fans of ages 13+.
