Rays of Hidden Light Academy is a new learning center opening in the Douglasville, Ga area for 6th through 12th grade students. We specialize in creative pods.

We offer individualized educational support in small, mixed age groups of students.

🌻 **We uncovered a hidden light on our science nature walk!** 🌿🔬✨

At **Rays of Hidden Light Academy**, we ventured out on the trail for a little science exploration, and nature did not disappoint! 🌳

Our students observed **singing cicadas, American pokeweed, butterflies, birds, caterpillars, quartz rocks**, and so many other fascinating pieces of the world around us. 🦋🐛🪨🐦

But we didn’t stop at observing.

We challenged our students to take what they discovered and **turn their scientific observations into poetry.** ✍🏽📖

And WOW… check out one of my students reading his poem! 🎤✨

This was his **FIRST time writing a poem**, and it was absolutely beautiful. Watching him transform the things he saw on our nature walk into words, imagery, and creativity was such a special moment.

I think we may have uncovered another **hidden light… a LIGHT OF POETRY.** 💛🌻

This is why we believe learning should give students opportunities to explore, create, discover, and uncover gifts they didn’t even know they had.

Watching our students engage in hands-on activities, explore through science labs, ask questions, discover, and learn reminds me **exactly why we said YES to this vision.** 🧪🔬💡

✨ **I APPLIED FOR THE GREATNESS GRANT!** ✨

I’m putting **Rays of Hidden Light Academy** in the running for the Greatness Grant! 🌻✨

Building this learning center has been a journey of faith, purpose, and perseverance. I’m creating a space where students; especially those who learn differently can discover their strengths, explore their creativity, and realize that there is greatness within them.

This grant would help us continue building the vision and creating opportunities for our students to learn, create, and SHINE. 💛

We are so excited to welcome **Maya Dawson** as one of our Creative Pod guest instructors at Rays of Hidden Light Academy!

Maya J.T. Dawson is a gifted vocalist, spoken word artist, writer, director and communicator. Having worked both on the main stage and behind the scenes, Maya understands the importance of seamless storytelling and impactful production. When she’s not creating, she’s co-hosting the podcast ‘Becoming Eva’ or strategizing with her husband for their branding and marketing firm creativeaire, inc. Maya is passionate about building brands and creating original content with excellence. During her Creative Pod session, our students will have the opportunity to learn from her journey, explore creative expression, and discover how their own voices can make an impact.

One of the things I love most about our Creative Pods is exposing students to real creatives who are actively using their gifts in the world. We can’t wait for our students to learn from Maya and be encouraged to shine the light within them.

There is something incredibly special about serving alongside your family. ❤️

I'm so excited that my husband, **Ryan Moore (Ryan Righteous of Trackstarz)**, will be joining us as a guest instructor during our **Creative Pod** time at Rays of Hidden Light Academy!

Ryan has spent years using his gifts in **podcasting, radio, interviewing, and media**, and now he'll have the opportunity to pour that knowledge into the next generation. Our students will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create meaningful content, communicate with confidence, and use their voices with purpose.

One of the greatest joys of building Rays of Hidden Light Academy is connecting students with people who are not only talented in their fields but are also passionate about investing in young people. I'm grateful that Ryan is willing to share his experience and inspire our students to dream big and explore new creative possibilities.

We can't wait for this Creative Pod session! 🎙️✨

During **Creative Pod Time**, students at Rays of Hidden Light Academy will have the opportunity to explore new passions, which include learning to play the guitar! Whether they're picking up an instrument for the very first time or discovering a hidden talent, this is a space where creativity, confidence, and joy can grow.

The greatest measure of an educator isn’t found in awards; it’s found in the lives they’ve impacted.
Reading these reviews from former students is incredibly humbling. Long before Rays of Hidden Light Academy became a reality, God was already preparing the mission: to create a place where children feel seen, safe, encouraged, and excited to learn.
