We provide volunteer support and assistance to DCSO & DPD Community Outreach events.
All of our members are graduates of one or both of the DVPD or DCSO’s Citizen Law Enforcement Academies- which are free classes that are held one night a week for 9-12 weeks. The students learn directly from the Officers that serve and protect our community everyday, about each Divisions within the Dept (K9, Drug Enforcement, Find, Gangs, etc) and about the crime in our community and how best to be observant and protect themselves.

Our next Foundational Transformation of Life Program will begin Monday, February 10, at 6:30 PM. We are looking for young men and women ages 21 years and older. On Saturday, March 15, we will be holding our next Community Yard Sale. Repurpose your old items or find new treasures. Spaces will be a 12’ x12’ grass area and you can purchase multiple spaces. You can also request to be next to someone (this person must fill out their own form). This event is RAIN or SHINE and will be held outside on our front lawn. Registration fee is $25, and an application must be completed and sent in, no spaces will be sold the day of the event.

The Douglasville Police Department is having our 3rd Annual Christmas Festival With The Cops on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on our front lawn.
This is a FREE Event with vendors, Santa Claus, choral performances, a petting zoo, and more.
We have a limited capacity for vendors due to lighted areas for the event and will take vendors until we reach that capacity or December 5. Some vendor spots are limited. Vendor booth space is $40 for a 12’ x 12’ space. Contact Sgt. Dean for more information on becoming a vendor, etc. All food/snack/drink vendors, contact Sgt. Dean immediately to be considered.

Douglasville Police Department has partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration and other community partners during the DEA Pill Take Back Day to help you clean out those medicine cabinets. This will occur on October 26 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. No questions asked, no forms or ID required. Liquid and pills are accepted. You can leave your medications in the original containers or empty them into a sealed clear plastic bag. All medicines must be visible and are taken to the incinerator for disposal.
NO sharps or inhalers will be taken at this event, just medications.
Absolutely no medications are to be dropped off to the police department before or after the scheduled event times.

We are looking for vehicle-related vendors and food trucks (must already be on Douglas County Environmental Health list or Department of Agriculture food license). We do ask car participants to pre-register and fill out a form so that we will know how much space is needed. Early registration is through Monday, November 4, to have your space set. We will have same day registration. We will be using our parking lots, and possibly grass, depending on the weather prior to the date, and the number of vehicles.
