🎬 🍿 Family Fun/Movie Night Update!🍿🎬

We are so excited to see everyone tonight for our outdoor Movie Night! To make sure everyone has a fun and comfortable evening, here are a few important reminders:

• ☀️ Beat the Heat: It’s looking like it will be a little extra warm out there! Please make sure to apply sunscreen before you arrive, and feel free to bring hats to help stay cool while the sun is setting.

• 🧱 Location Change: We will be setting up on the blacktop area.

• 🪑 What to Bring: Because we'll be on the blacktop, don't forget to pack your folding lawn chairs or extra thick blankets to sit on so your family is nice and cozy!

We can't wait to celebrate the end of the school year together. Grab your chairs, bring your smiles, and we’ll see you on the blacktop! ☀️🎬✨

🍿Volunteers Needed for Family Fun Night! 🎬

We are so excited for our Family Fun Night this Friday, but we need a few extra hands to make the magic happen! If you have an hour or two to spare, we would love your help.

We are looking for volunteers to help with:
• Setup: Helping get the "theater" area ready.
• Concessions: Serving up popcorn and drinks.
• Clean-up: Helping us leave the lawn looking great after the show.

It’s a fun way to support the school and enjoy the community atmosphere. Whether you can stay for the whole event or just help for a short shift, every bit helps!

📣 End of the Year Family Fun Night 📣

Celebrate the end of the school year with a relaxing night under the stars! Grab your blankets and lawn chairs for a family-friendly movie on the lawn at Jerry Lee Faine. It will be held Friday May 15, from 6:30- 8:30pm
Snacks and drinks will be provided as well!

Please note that students MUST be accompanied by an adult.

A huge thank you our Librarian Ms. Howell and volunteers for helping our students write their teachers sweet notes during Library class last week!

Earlier this year First Grade lost their Foster Grandma Mary Jones. She was a bright light for not only their students but teachers as well. She was an encourager and wise mentor. Her family members donated some snacks and drinks for teacher appreciation week in her honor! Thank you Rochelle Brown and family, we love you! 💛❤️💛❤️

Huge thank you to DCS Boardchair Julie Mullins-Turner for dropping off some sweets from Libby Lu’s to our teachers! 🍪🧁

Today we had a “Dirty” Soda Bar 🍹🧉, provided to us by our very own Bright Key coordinator Lindsey Holland Wagner and The Harbor!!

Fun Fact: “Dirty” Sodas were created to provide alcohol and coffee-free drink alternatives for the Mormon community.

My personal favorite was the “Ring King” made of Dr. Pepper, coconut cream 🥥, and cupcake🧁 syrup! I also added fresh squeezed lime 🍋‍🟩 and it was delicious!!😋

We also have BABIES ON BOARD for this appreciation week!!! Four teachers were pregnant but one of our precious babies was born yesterday a little after midnight!

It’s not always fun and games over here at Jerry Lee Faine, but we do like to have a good time!! We also like to eat good food and the lunch provided by The Juicy Crab Dothan was the perfect way to end our Teacher Appreciation Week!!
