Houston Academy families—looking for summer reading titles or books from your student's school reading list? We have a selection of Houston Academy titles currently in stock, and new books arrive every day!

📖 Our inventory changes daily as we receive donations, so if you don't see the title you need today, check back often—we may have it tomorrow.

We 😍 partnering with Dothan Leisure Services! The Friends were thrilled to donate books to Camp Cherokee for our community youth to enjoy reading during summer camp! 📚

When you donate your books, they are sure to be enjoyed again and again.

You can bring your donations, and stop in to shop at the Friends Bookstore on: Tuesdays and Thursdays

We have a constantly changing inventory so there’s something new every day!

Whether shopping for fiction, non-fiction, classics, vintage, children’s or non-book items, we have a little something for everyone .

If you would like to donate any games, books, puzzles, albums, CDs, DVDs, VHS we would love to receive these items!

We evaluate every donation and find each item’s very best location to serve our community, whether that’s the FoL store, the many, mini book sales, recirculating to one of the local libraries, the jail ministry, Little Free Libraries or other advocacy groups in town.

Our proceeds are then returned back to the library so they are able to continue to provide amazing resources for everyone in our community.
