Today, AP Faulk met with the PST/MTSS Team to assign roles and responsibilities while establishing the system and protocols by which it will operate.
It’s important to establish the unity within a system early on so that everyone understands their roles and the direction they are moving in if they are going to be successful. With the adjustments made to our processes this year, we are sure to make the impact that we are aiming for!!

We start our morning in kindergarten by building strong phonological awareness skills through purposeful hand motions and multisensory practice. 👏
Then, our kindergarten teachers model each center step-by-step to make sure expectations are clear.
When students can see it, hear it, say it, and do it, the learning sticks! 🧠

Over the past two days, Principal Montalvo facilitated PLCs with our grade level teams.
Since these are the first for the year, she set the structure and process for the PLCs and shared our role in the weekly processes.
Then, we started out by analyzing the latest school-wide ACAP data. All grade levels reviewed the data from across the school to identify our opportunities for growth and determine small instructional shifts that can be implemented across the building to improve our practice, and thus student learning.
The meetings were collaborative in nature where every person at the table, whether they are 1st year teachers or veteran teachers, had a voice and they eagerly shared ideas of strategies that we can use in real time.
If this is any indication of how our year will roll out, we are in for some MAJOR impact!! I believe we have the cream of the crop here at The Springs!!
Keep Watching!!
