A message from our Co-Founder

As we enter this new fiscal year, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible LAP team. Your relentless dedication, resilience, and heart are the true driving force behind everything we accomplish.

Every milestone we reached from supporting families and empowering youth to expanding our community impact was made possible by your commitment and hard work.

Thank you for showing up every single day with passion and purpose.

I am immensely proud of what we have built together, and I am excited for all that we will achieve in the year ahead.

A word from our Co-Founder

To our incredible community and LAP Family,

As I reflect on our journey, I want to send a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you. We started The Life After Prison in 2020, and what began simply as a radio show designed to provide vital resources and success stories has blossomed into something truly remarkable; a powerful, thriving organization dedicated to uplifting our community.

None of this growth would have been possible without your support, trust, and your dedication to our shared mission.

Thank you for walking this path with us, believing in our vision, and helping us turn a grassroots idea into a movement of real change.

We heard your voices loud and clear from our end-of-year survey, and we are putting your feedback into action to make our programs and community support even stronger!

With deepest gratitude,

PA

Co-Founder &
Program Director

FY26 Impact Report (swipe)

Behind every number is a life changed, a family supported, and a community strengthened. Over the past fiscal year, we continued to bridge the gap between immediate relief and long term systemic empowerment by balancing compassionate acute relief with structural economic architecture.

During this period, the LAP fed 375 families through essential food distributions, reached 240 youth with toys and winter garments, equipped 82 children with back-to-school tools, and distributed 50 items including socks, hats, and gloves to unhoused neighbors.

To build long-term stability and justice-involved empowerment, LAP provided dedicated housing education to 23 clients and supported 12 clients directly with move-in costs, alongside granting 40 MacBooks to drive digital equity.

This foundation also extended to youth development and rehabilitation, engaging 25 children in entrepreneurship through the Young Entrepreneur Boss Kids Business Bash and celebrating 6 graduates from My Successful Blueprint at the South Bay House of Correction.

To foster economic mobility and business creation, LAP created 5 websites from scratch for clients, supported 4 clients in successfully launching independent businesses, and provided strategic ecosystem growth consultation to 2 non-profits. This transformative work has earned profound institutional trust and recognition, highlighted by Executive Director speaking engagements at Northeastern University and Tufts University, Co-Founder Patrice Alves receiving the EXTRAordinary Woman Award from Mayor Michelle Wu, and the organization receiving an official Certificate of Recognition from the Office of Mayor Wu.

To our incredible HEROES..partners, team, donors, family, and friends, thank you. Behind every milestone, every family supported, and every life transformed over this past fiscal year stands your unwavering dedication, generosity, and trust. You are the heartbeat of this mission.

3 POUNDS OF PRESSURE‼️

We kicked off our 3 Pounds of Pressure program this week. Yesterday’s team building session highlighted the strong brotherly bond forming among the exceptional youth leaders we carefully selected for this journey. This is a powerful preview of the remarkable dedication, deep commitment to community, and unique creativity that each of them brings to the team. We are truly honored to walk alongside these future CEOs and changemakers as we build this foundation together!
