Even though school is out, we’d still love to stay connected with our Evansdale Eagle families over the summer months. We’ll send occasional emails when there are important updates, reminders, or exciting news to share for the upcoming school year.
Be sure to follow Evansdale Elementary PTO on Facebook and Instagram, and check our website throughout the summer to stay in the loop on events, announcements, and back-to-school information. We can’t wait to soar into another great year together!

As we wrap up the school year, we want to express our deep appreciation for our dedicated teachers and staff. Please consider contributing to the Staff Giving Fund to help us celebrate each staff member.
Your gift supports your child’s teacher in addition to our specials team, counselors, parapros, custodial staff, nutrition team, and more - the people who keep Evansdale running strong every day. Our goal is to give $100 to each staff member as an end of year gift.
You can contribute online by credit card, or you can use the envelope sent home in couriers to send cash or check (made out to "Evansdale PTO").

Our 5th grade Eagles are off to SOAR to new heights as they graduate to Henderson Middle School. Last week they had their promotion ceremony at Tucker High School, and then wrapped up their final Friday with a pool party. Please congratulate these students on a job well done!
Immense thanks to our 5th Grade Chairs this year - Candice Gardner and Ebony Stinson. These fearless leaders ensured that our 5th graders had a blast all year long, on overnight field trips, class parties, and fun end of year festivities.
Lastly, the PTO would like to recognize our 2025-2026 Legacy Award winners - Sarah Rauers and Candice Gardner. Our annual Legacy Award celebrates PTO volunteers that have consistently demonstrated extraordinary leadership, dedication, and lasting impact on the Evansdale community. Through their vision, advocacy, creativity, and countless hours of service, both have helped strengthen our school and create meaningful opportunities for students and families

Support our wonderful French intern, Madame Valentine, on her next journey!
A note from Madame Valentine:
I just wanted to send a message to say how much I’ve appreciated getting to know every single one of your children. They have made me fall in love with teaching once again.
Thank you so much for all of your support and for raising truly amazing students whom I will never forget.
Merci beaucoup Evansdale, the school is so lucky to have such a beautiful community and I will cherish every memory I’ve made here forever.
If anyone was thinking of getting me an end of the year gift, please consider a contribution to my GoFundMe for my transition into a permanent teaching position: https://gofund.me/3daf4417c

Olympics Day was an unforgettable day of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition at Evansdale! Students began the morning in the front circle with the ceremonial passing of the Olympic torch before heading to the lower field for tug-of-war, baton relays, potato sack races, and egg-and-spoon relays. Students — and teachers! — brought incredible enthusiasm to every event, and many showed off their competitive spirit along the way. Everyone had a blast cheering each other on and making lasting memories together.
We are also so grateful to the many volunteers who made the day such a success, especially Coach Gathany and Olympics Day Chairs Larkin Hocevar and Jenine Gathany for their leadership and hard work in creating such a memorable event for our Eagles!
Thank you to our amazing 5th grade team for running concessions throughout the day, with special appreciation to this year’s Concessions Chairs, Lisa Strain and Jennifer Green. Funds raised throughout the year supported 5th grade field trips and end-of-year celebrations.
