🔥VOLLEYBALL MILESTONE 🔥

Congratulations to senior Sasha Kawas! 👏 Last night she reached a major milestone in volleyball by eclipsing the 1,000 kill mark. 🏐 Sasha has been a member of the DSA varsity volleyball team since she was an 8th grader. Congratulations again to Sasha, her teammates, and coaches! 🎉 To God be the Glory! Let’s Go, Sharks! 🦈

🏐 AVCA Team Academic Award 🏆

Both high school varsity volleyball teams were the recipients of the 2025-2026 Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). 👏 Teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale to be considered for this recognition. This is the 12th year in a row that the girls' varsity team has earned this award. Whereas this is the first year for the boys' program to be awarded this recognition. 😁 To God be the Glory! Both teams won their respective District Tournaments during the year, with the girls' team advancing all the way to the State Final Four. 🎉 Congratulations to both teams on representing Divine Savior proudly both on and off the court. 🔥 Let's Go, Sharks! 🦈 🏐 💪

As we near the end of another amazing school year, let's look back and give a special shoutout to our five district champions this year. 🔥 To God be the Glory!

🎾 DISTRICT TENNIS TOURNAMENT🚨

This week, our boys' and girls' high school tennis teams competed in the FHSAA Class 1A District 15 tennis tournament. 💪 After two days of great competition, our girls' team came out on top as District Champions! 🏆 The boys' team also played well and battled against great competition on their way to finishing as the District Runner-Up. Both teams now advance to Regional play next week, on Tuesday. 😁

A special shoutout to our individual and doubles champions as well. On the girls' side, Martina Roversi won the singles title. 🔥 Martina then partnered with Maria Yano in doubles to claim that title as well. 🥇 Both now automatically advance to the state tournament. To God be the Glory! 👏

Congratulations again to both teams on a great tournament! Everyone did a fantastic job representing Divine Savior proudly. Congratulations also to head coach Jenny Sotomayor and assistant coach Nic Liu. 🎾 🦈 🎉
