Open Sesame Children's Learning Centers We are located in Dixon Illinois at 1101 Middle Road. Open Sesame has been in business in Dixon since 1975. We strive to honor the wishes of these families.

Open Sesame Children’s Learning Centers serves children ages 6 weeks through 5 years in Dixon, Illinois, providing a caring and supportive early childhood environment where children learn, grow, and thrive. The Open Sesame social media business page is for anyone who supports Open Sesame. Open Sesame Children's Learning Centers believes that a well-designed curriculum should foster all areas of a child's development - physical, emotional, social, creative and cognitive. We strive to instill independence, self-discipline, and self-esteem in each child. We encourage children to actively explore their environments through their senses and through physical manipulation of objects. We emphasize appropriate interaction with adults and peers and develop our curriculum to meet both the needs of children as a group as well as the needs of the individual child. The job of a child is to learn through play. We’ve proudly been DCFS licensed since 1975 and are supported by the United Way of Lee County. Our center uses the Creative Curriculum to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for every child in our care. We offer financial assistance through 4-C to help make quality childcare accessible to families. We are passionate about being active in our community and love inviting families to be part of our program. We serve children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can grow and thrive.

🎃🍁 Scarecrow Festival is coming Saturday, Oct. 17, and downtown Dixon will be packed with six blocks of fall fun!

Bring the kids. Bring your appetite. Bring your best fall spirit. From the Pumpkin Derby and petting zoo to vendors, games, live entertainment, pumpkin painting, line dancing and the donut-eating contest, there’s plenty to see and do.

Thank you to the students from the TRIO SVCC program for coming to help us with some cleaning as part of the United Way of Lee County, Dixon, IL Day of Caring. We greatly appreciated the time you spent helping in the community.

TRIO SVCC is a program at Sauk Valley that helps students who are first generation college students, students who meet income-eligibility requirements, or have a documented disability. Some of the ways the program help include;
Personalized academic advising
Career planning and development
Tutoring (peer, drop‑in, online)
Textbook, laptop, tablet, iPad, and calculator lending
Transfer planning and university visits
