When I go out for breakfast, I can’t help but look around the room. I see table after table being served pancakes, waffles, crepes, syrup, toast, muffins, biscuits, and orange juice.

No judgment, it’s the American way, right?

And we’ve been fed LIES! These things are not a healthy breakfast. (Sorry…not even the O.J.)

They are simple carbohydrates.

They’re all processed as SUGAR in our bodies.

Here’s the truth…

They are DESSERT!!!

This is not how you (or your kids!) want to start your day.

Here's why:

🔹 A high carb breakfast creates a big glucose spike.
🔸 Big insulin spike follows to bring it down.
🔹Fat burning is turned off to deal with all that carbohydrate.
🔸Extra carbohydrate that can't be stored as glycogen is converted to fat.
🔹Blood sugar plummets due to big push of insulin.
🔸Your energy tanks, and you feel like crap.
🔹A couple hours later you are super hungry and crave MORE carbohydrates.

Blood sugar roller coaster🎢 is now in effect for the rest of the day.

This is the exact OPPOSITE of stabilized energy.

Don't let this be you. Make that first meal of the day high in protein and low in simple carbs!

🧨 July is heating up!
And I have a special HOT🔥offer for YOU.

This one-time coaching session is for you if…

🔥 You’re recently diagnosed with Type 2 or Pre-diabetes: have questions, feel overwhelmed or confused about what to eat/not to eat, how/when to test your glucose, what do the numbers mean, or anything else on your mind. This is the jump-start you need.

🔥 You’ve been dealing with T2D for a while and are feeling stuck or frustrated or need a boost in motivation (or even any of the stuff listed above). T2D is a marathon, not a sprint, and we all need a re-boot once in a while.

🔥 You're curious about this whole coaching thing: what it's like to work with a coach, is this someone I can trust or even like, will I get any results from it - but you're not quite ready to commit to a larger time or money investment.

This is it!! 🎉 It’s time to schedule your FREE Type 2 Tune-Up call with me.

I’m Jill and I’m a Type 2 Diabetes coach who’s been there. For 20 years, I was on several oral meds for my blood sugar and my numbers were still out of control.

I took the 💊 pills, but no one was helping me look at my lifestyle or teaching me what my numbers meant. Or ANYTHING, frankly!

I was out there on my own, seeing my doctor every few months for 15 minutes - long enough for him to increase my dosages and tell me to lose weight… again!

It’s all different now! I’ve been off all of my blood sugar meds for over 3 years; keeping my A1C at 5.1 with mindset, nutrition, and lifestyle.

When you schedule a Type 2 Tune-Up with me, its your chance to sit down, take a breath, ask me your questions, and have my eyes 👀 on your day-to-day blood sugar routines. I’ve learned a ton over the last 3 years working with my clients and I’d love to share some of it with you.

It’s FREE, it’ll be FUN, and you’ll leave FEELING more confident and ready for even better blood sugar control.

Go to the link 🔗 below - join the waitlist - and be the first to get access to my calendar. Spots are limited so jump on there today! Calls will happen November 14-19.

Let’s be honest - managing Type 2 diabetes can suck. A lot. So I’m going to let you in on what I tell my clients.

Day-to-day blood sugar control is full of highs, lows (pun intended 😉), countless food choices, finger sticks, expensive meds, and worry.

Thinking you’ve made good choices and done all the things only to get a high reading 🤦‍♀️ It can feel discouraging. I get it!

Let’s zoom out a bit. 👀

1️⃣… Don’t compare yourself to others. Your body is YOUR BODY! It will never respond like someone else’s. Keep your eyes on your own paper (or meter!) and just compare your numbers to you.

2️⃣… celebrate EVERY WIN! This is key. When you’re working to control your diabetes, delaying the instant gratification and dopamine hits from sweets, you need to be your own dopamine hit!!

Stop 🛑 to celebrate…

🎉 A lower reading - even a little lower is great!
🎉 A great food choice - skip the chips? WIN!!
🎉 More movement - a 10 min walk after a meal? SCORE!!!

This will help you feel better and keep going!

Stop right now and think of a win for YOU and share it in the comments ⬇️

Managing Type 2 or pre-Diabetes is a full-time job, full of decisions.

I want to share with you the phrase that has helped me to feel lighter and be more consistent:

Just for now.

I can do anything, just for now.

You don’t need to make huge, general, lifelong decisions that feel heavy and frankly, not even doable.

Giving up refined sugar *forever* felt impossible.

🌟 But I can do it, just for now.

Skipping the chips at the Mexican restaurant *forever* made me feel deprived.

🌟 But I can do it, just for now.

You can stop putting pressure on yourself to do things forever!

Make decisions just for now and see if you don’t become more consistent with your good choices. 💛

Ever felt embarrassed to admit that you have Type 2 or pre-diabetes? I know I have!

Why?

I wasn’t embarrassed to say I had cancer.

I’m not embarrassed to say I have a cold or the flu or even Covid.

It’s because of the stigma society has placed on diabetes. Specifically, on type 2 diabetes.

You deserve to have the support and care you need to THRIVE! No blame, no shame, no judgment.

This is what I do as a diabetes coach. I educate, support, and help you to get that A1C down so you’re not living in shame and worry.

I’ve done it myself, and I can help YOU.

When you’re ready, start with the link below and come talk to me.

Everyone has an opinion about WHAT to eat when it comes to blood sugar control. But did you know that HOW you eat could be even more important?

It’s true! 💯

The ORDER in which you eat the food on your plate matters.

In fact, when I learned HOW to eat, that’s what really moved the needle and brought my A1C down. 📉

And now I’m teaching YOU how to do it, too!

Go to the link below to get my free video (and worksheets!) and I’ll teach you this super simple technique.

No one taught me this - not my doctor or dietician, or even my Diabetes Educator.

It took decades 🤦‍♀️ before I learned HOW to eat and that it could make a real difference in my numbers.

I don’t want you to wait any longer!

Check it out here ⬇️

NO ONE is teaching this! And it’s literally the thing that has allowed me to control my blood sugar with NO meds for 3 years now.

I’ve asked so many people and they all say no one has told them that HOW you eat matters just as much as WHAT you eat when it comes to Type 2 Diabetes or pre-Diabetes.

So I’m teaching you TODAY!

I waited decades before I knew this technique (and it’s so easy!) and I don’t want you to wait.

When you sign up, you’ll receive a VIDEO teaching (me! 😉) AND 2 worksheets.

Be sure to watch the video because it explains how to use the worksheets.

It’s time to LOWER that dang A1C so you can get on with LIVING!

🚫 MYTH!
It's true that having a parent or sibling with diabetes increases your risk for getting diabetes. In fact, family history is a risk factor for both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

However, many people with diabetes have NO close family members with diabetes.

Lifestyle choices and certain other factors can increase your risk for Type 2 or Pre-diabetes.

These include:
* Being on certain meds
* Having excess body weight
* Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS)
* Poor nutritional habits
* Gestational Diabetes
* Being of Hispanic/Latino American, African American, American Indian, or Alaska Native descent (some Pacific Islanders and Asian Americans are also at risk)
* Being age 45 or older
* A sedentary lifestyle
* Elevated stress
* Poor sleep

You can reduce your risk by creating a lifestyle that supports blood sugar control and includes healthy nutrition, mindset tools, stress management, movement you enjoy, and a strong support system.

I’m a Diabetes Lifestyle Coach who’s been there. I have been off my diabetes meds for 4 years and maintain an A1C around 5.1.

I would love to show you how to create this lifestyle for yourself!

Which one of the following things have you said to yourself?

“My doctor keeps telling me to cut back on the sugar and she’s probably right, but I feel fine. This one piece of cake won’t hurt anything.”

“I’ve tried this new diabetes eating plan for a month now. It’s getting boring. There’s got to be a better one out there.” (search Pinterest!)

“I wish everyone would just stop eating/bringing/ offering sweets! It makes it so hard to stay on track. Why can’t they just be supportive?”

“See? It’s 9:00am and I’ve already blown it. Besides, Mom made those cookies just for me and if I say no, I’ll hurt her feelings. Tomorrow will be better.”

If you’re like me, you’ve likely said them all at one time or another. They’re sneaky thoughts that can even appear loving or helpful.

But they’re not. Those sneaky suckers are actually sabotaging your best intentions to make healthy choices for yourself.

Learning how to spot those “Saboteurs” and shift into way of thinking that actually helps you to care for yourself and your diabetes is the key!

Managing your diabetes, lowering your A1C, it’s not just about the food. Figuring out WHY you haven’t been able to stick with healthy habits and HOW to stop sabotaging yourself … that’s the magic!

The magic is happening NOW in my Unschooling Diabetes group coaching membership. And it’s EASIER and way more FUN than you even know! (No, it does not have to be drudgery!)

I want you to start today! Your health is way too important to put it off “until.”

It all starts with a simple conversation. Tell me what’s been tripping you up and what the things are that you want to do better at.

And let me help you finally do those things.
