Hi all, Kode4Kids Diamond Bar is excited to announce the dates and student sign-up form for the Summer 2025 season!

For those unfamiliar with our program, Kode4Kids Diamond Bar is a non-profit student-led organization that provides students in grades 3-12 with cost-free introductory courses to Scratch, Java, JavaScript, and Python.

Our Scratch course is designed for elementary school students looking for an introduction to the computer science field and teaches children how to animate cartoon characters and create games using coding blocks.
For older children interested in taking coding more seriously, we offer Java, JavaScript, and Python courses, which teach students to apply maths and logic to real-world programming languages used in many STEM fields. All four courses cover the basics of their corresponding languages, and none require previous coding experience to learn. We HIGHLY recommend that students have a basic understanding of several mathematical concepts, including inequalities and the order of operations at school before taking our Java, JavaScript, and Python courses.

For older children interested in taking coding more seriously, we offer Java and Python courses, which teach students to apply math and logic to real-world programming languages used in many STEM fields. All three courses cover the basics of their corresponding languages, and none require previous coding experience to learn. However, we recommend that students learn certain mathematical concepts, such as inequalities and the order of operations at school before taking our Java and Python courses.
