Dexter/Richland/Bloomfield Parents as Teachers PAT mission: provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during their crucial early years.

ns Dexter Parents as Teachers is a free program for prenatal parents and children ages birth through Kindergarten entry that will provide support through 4 components.

1. We provide personal visits in the home or in the P.A.T. room at school where we look at the development of your baby and talk about some simple things you can do to encourage and help your child be ready for school.

2. Free Health, Hearing, Vision and Development Screenings

3. Group Connections, providing opportunities to connect with other families through fun activities.

4. Resource Referrals. In other words, we have access to many resources in the school and local community to help a variety families meet the diverse needs of their children. For more information or to enroll in our Parents as Teachers program, please contact us at 573-614-1004.

Free Hi-SET (GED) Classes Coming to Dexter

Missouri Adult Education & Literacy through Missouri State University will be offering free Hi-SET (GED) classes in Dexter beginning this September.

Orientation is required prior to enrollment.
