VLHS Travel is excited to announce an exciting new leadership development opportunity available to current 7th-11th grade students. In July of 2027, Valley Lutheran, in partnership with EF Educational Tours, is planning to take a group of students to participate in a Global Leadership Summit in Prague, Czech Republic. The Global Leadership Summit provides students with an opportunity to collaborate with peers from around the world to strengthen their problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, public speaking, cultural awareness, and leadership skills. Students will work in teams to both identify a global issue related to the summit theme of social responsibility and to propose and present possible solutions. Students will also have the incredible opportunity to hear from Malala Yousafzai (author of "I am Malala" and education activist) during her keynote address at the summit.

Additionally, the summit is embedded in a tour experience that explores a specific area of the larger theme. On our tour, we will be traveling to Budapest (Hungary) and Krakow (Poland) before journeying to Prague (Czech Republic) for the Summit. Our tour will specifically focus on how individuals and communities have navigated history’s most difficult moments and between the tour and Summit, we hope students return home with a deeper understanding of their responsibility to uphold human dignity and prevent injustice.

All students who enroll on the tour before midnight on March 6th, 2026 will receive a $200 enrollment discount, plus they will be entered into a drawing to receive copies of Malala's three books.
