These were definitely the kids’ favourites. Tiny hands, big discoveries, and yes… a little bit of mess! 😂

Small group leaders are one of the most important parts of a healthy Kids Ministry because discipleship happens through relationships.
Kids need more than someone who can complete the activity or manage the room. They need Kids Ministry leaders who know their names, remember their stories, listen to their questions, open the Bible with them, and pray with them.

Great small group leadership isn’t measured by whether every question on the lesson plan was completed. It’s about creating space for kids to ask real questions, understand God’s Word, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

That’s why Kids Ministry volunteer training should go beyond classroom management. Train your small group leaders to be disciple-makers: prepare them before Sunday, teach them how to ask meaningful questions, help them include quieter kids, and show them how to turn everyday conversations into discipleship moments.
And keep reminding them why their role matters. Small group leaders don’t just help us run Kids Ministry, they consistently show up, build trust, and help disciple the next generation.

What if the best way to recruit volunteers… was to stop asking them to volunteer? ☕️

This Sunday, we’re inviting our families and church community to Sip & See.

Sip & See is a Kids Ministry tour invitation designed to help people step inside Sunday Morning Ministry, meet the team, explore our spaces, and experience the vision and heart behind everything we do.

There’s no pressure to volunteer. No awkward sign-up form hiding beside the sugar packets. Just a warm invitation to enjoy a coffee, come closer, and see what God is already doing.

Because people often hear us talk about Kids Ministry but they rarely get the opportunity to see everything that happens behind the scenes or understand the heart behind it.

And honestly? Hear • Know • Go made preparing for this event so easy.

The September Volunteer Hub resource includes all the ready-to-print materials, conversation cards, interest and sign-up cards, setup instructions, and details for leading the actual event. We simply printed everything, created our coffee-shop-inspired space, and made it our own.

Kids ministry leaders, we know you want to help families continue discipleship beyond Sunday.

But parents don’t always need another app, another video, or another thing to remember to log into.

Sometimes they just need a simple tool they can put right on the dinner table.

That’s why we created Dinner & Discipleship as part of Hear • Know • Go.

Families can sit down, put the phones away, and use it to spark simple conversations. They’ll also find Bible stories and questions, family activities, dinner prayers, fun challenges, and yes… even a dad joke. 😂

Just a simple way for churches to help families build small, consistent habits of faith in the moments they’re already sharing together.

Because family discipleship doesn’t have to feel like another program.

Sometimes it looks like dinner, laughter, a good question, and a conversation about God. ❤️

Backpacks will soon be filled with pencils, folders, and probably a few mystery crumbs… but first, let’s fill our kids with prayer, peace, and courage. 💛

Every year at our Back to School Family Prayer Experience, we give each child a backpack tag.

“Do not be anxious about anything… and the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds.”

It’s a small reminder they can carry into every classroom, hallway, friendship, and new experience—because our prayers can go into the places we cannot.

Throughout the experience, families pray together for their schools, teachers, and friends, and our pastors personally pray a blessing over each family.

And yes… we finish with an ice cream truck, because prayer and ice cream make a pretty wonderful combination. 🍦

Most churches think they need more volunteers to start a toddler ministry… but what they actually need is a simple, intentional space where moms feel seen and toddlers can explore safely.

Our group isn’t childcare. Parents stay. We create sensory stations kids love, a coffee corner moms actually use, simple rhythms that don’t overwhelm volunteers, and a culture where connection matters more than perfection. It’s low-pressure, high-impact, and honestly? The cleanup is faster than the setup 😉

Getting ready for one of my favorite family moments of the year. ❤️

Our Back to School Blessing isn’t just a fun event before school starts. We want to intentionally pause as families and pray over the year ahead.

We’re creating simple prayer stations where families can pray for:

🍎 teachers
🏫 schools
🤍 friends
🙏 and their own children as they step into a brand-new school year.

And at the end, our pastors will personally pray a blessing over each family.

This station is almost ready. Families will write a letter/prayer for a teacher and add it to the wall. ✉️ If you want to see all 4 station follow Renata Redman | Kids Ministry Coach | Equipping Families for more info, the next reel is coming soon 🙂

Because before we send our kids back with new shoes, sharpened pencils and approximately 847 things from the school supply list 😂… we want to send them covered in prayer.

Such a simple way to remind our kids that God goes with them into their classrooms, hallways, friendships and every new thing this year. ❤️
