Our current website; about to get a MAJOR makeover.......stay tuned

Founded in 1985 by a hard core group of Anglers from all over Chicagoland who often met and fished together at the Waukegan power plant, this group has matured, traveled, and expanded to include several generations of fishing die hards. Whether the method involves speys, sacs, spinners, or dipseys......we are all about salmonids in the great lakes blue water, the beaches, harbors, and tributaries they call home.

If the club members want to continue to meet: 1. where should it be. 2. is food service required to hold the meeting. 3. should there be any type of pay-in or formal board to run the club as it was, or is it now an informal gathering following an informal version of what past meetings used to follow? discuss here with comments; we'll be watching. K, L, and T. (Your former board.)

FYI to current and past members. We had been announcing early in the year that ISH board members were needed to keep the original structure of the club in place. Last seasons final (May) meeting in which a new board was to be nominated and elected for 2013-2015 ---resulted in NO candidates. The current boards term has expired. Therefore, ISH is not operating under a board any longer. Monthly meetings/newsletters/events or speakers with topics are not currently being planned to continue in the formal sense....meaning there won't be any payments, prizes, speakers, etc., until further notice. Please pass the word; your former board members will be reaching out to you with updates shortly.

Lots of notes taken as Creekside Professor DAVE DYER revealed his undisputed, without-a-doubt 5 best spinner patterns that have caught hundreds of fish 12 months a year.

Thanks to Dave for really taking our spinner knowledge to a PHd level; and thanks to those who helped him offload the BIG box of gear he brought for sale!!
