Our very own Bob Kirby recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in a Hy-Vee Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. He and so many other veterans were given the recognition and appreciation they so deeply deserve, while visiting the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.

Bob is a special part of our Delaware family. Each week, he brings Parker to Delaware through the Therapet program, and we are so grateful for the time, care, and friendship he shares with our students and staff.

We are so happy Bob was able to experience this meaningful opportunity and be reminded of just how much his service means to so many. ❤️🇺🇸

Thank you, Bob, for your service and for being part of our Delaware family! We are so proud of you!

While the big kids are busy showing off their physical fitness skills, our youngest learners are getting in on the action too!

Kindergarten students are racing through relay challenges while practicing letter recognition and sounds.

1st graders are putting their speed and teamwork to work while building words.

Our littlest learners are proving that you can move, learn, and have fun all at the same time!

Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day! 💛🖤

Today, we’re celebrating our amazing custodians, Chuck, Becky, and Tawnie! 🧹✨ Thank you for all you do to keep Delaware Elementary clean, safe, and welcoming for our students, staff, and families. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but the impact you make is felt throughout our entire school every single day.

We are so grateful for your hard work, dedication, and the pride you take in caring for our school. Delaware wouldn’t be the same without you three! Thank you for all you do for our Rams! 🐏⭐

We appreciate you! 🖤💛

🌧️ Event Update!

With all the rain in the forecast for tomorrow, we’ve decided to postpone our event until next Friday, October 2nd.🗓

😌We’re bummed to put it off, and know the kids will be too, but we’re looking forward to the fun next week! We'll make sure everyone has fun and stays dry :)

Thanks so much for understanding, and for getting all those donations in!! There's still time and wow has it been fun watching those leaderboards the last few days!🤩 Who will keep the GOAT?!

Today at Delaware, we celebrated International Day of Sign Languages! 💙🤟 Our students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of communication, inclusion, and making sure every voice has a place in our community. A special thank-you to Mrs. Tietjens for teaching our students and helping us celebrate through ASL!

We are loving our partnership with the Grand View University football team and their Friday morning greetings with our students! They have brought so many smiles each week as students come in for the day and they have joined classroom morning meetings to talk about leadership and teamwork. These GVU football players have been great role models for our All Star Leaders here at Delaware Elementary! Look for them on Fridays this football season and at the RAM Blast this week!
