Delaware, Four Mile, and Mitchellville Families,
We are excited to share some incredible news with you: our schools have officially been recognized as Leader in Me Lighthouse Schools!
Lighthouse Certification is a highly respected honor that recognizes schools for outstanding implementation of the Leader in Me process. It reflects a strong culture of leadership, a commitment to student growth, and a shared focus on empowering every child to reach their full potential. This achievement is a direct result of the collective efforts of our students, staff, and families. Our students continue to demonstrate leadership in meaningful ways each day, our staff remains dedicated to creating engaging and supportive learning environments, and your partnership as families plays a vital role in making this work possible.
At Delaware, Four Mile, and Mitchellville, we are committed to developing the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. The Leader in Me framework supports this by helping students build confidence, set goals, work collaboratively, and take ownership of their learning. We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment and grateful to be part of a community that believes in the potential of every student. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our students and continuing this important work together.
Thank you for your ongoing support!

📚✨ Library Book Round-Up Time! ✨📚
We still have 673 books making themselves a little too comfortable outside the library… 👀
With just 10 days left until 5/15, it’s time for a friendly nudge: check those backpacks, nightstands, cars, and cozy reading corners!
Let’s work together to bring our books home where they belong so everyone can keep enjoying great stories. 💙
We’ve got this!

The end of the school year is almost here and we have a recycling solution for those unwanted crayons brought home every year!! For the first time ever, Delaware will be partnering with East Coast Tae Kwon Do to collect any used/unwanted crayons and donate them to The Crayon Initiative. The Crayon Initiative collects unwanted crayons and melts them down to be made into brand new crayons that are then donated to children's hospitals across the states.
If you do not need or want any of this year's leftover crayons, please instruct your child to leave them with their teacher and they will be collected at school. We are excited to partner with them on this initiative. Thank you!
