It's official! I received my badge and business cards from the Iowa Department of Ed! I went and checked out the building and low and behold... the badge worked and got me up the elevator! I made a pit stop by Stefanie Rosenberg Wager's cubicle. She is a true lifesaver behind the scenes, always guiding and encouraging!!! I'd be lost without her 🥰. Let's do this!!! 🌟

Hi all! I'm coming at you from beautiful downtown Des Moines with my first ever video...ahhh!

This is my year of "YES" and challenging myself in all new ways even if it puts me out of my comfort zone just a bit 😁. There will definitely be a lot of learning and growing on my part!

I'm excited to connect with you in different ways, so we can learn from one another! I hope you enjoy and can take away some little nuggets of knowledge! Thanks for following my journey!

On to the good stuff...

I've been attending the Every Learner Forward Conference hosted by the Iowa Department of Education, where I had the opportunity to participate in an incredible two-day session, **Early-Stage Interventions: Behavior Strategies for Every Teacher**, presented by Safe & Civil Schools.

To say this training was amazing would be an understatement. I left feeling inspired, energized, and hopeful about one of the greatest needs in education today—equipping teachers with practical, proactive behavior strategies that help every student succeed.

When we provide educators with effective tools and resources to support student behavior, we create classrooms where students feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. Supporting behavior isn't separate from supporting learning, it's an essential part of it.

I'm excited to bring some ideas and things to think about, continue learning, and share strategies that empower both teachers and students.

Keep lifting each other up and doing what's best for students!
