Great news about Iowa's STEM Initiative! The 2013-14 data shows more youth interested in pursuing STEM careers, leaders more confident in leading STEM, and a smaller gender gap. Great press conference this morning! I was invited to Governor Branstand's Scale Up announcement this morning. Results of the second year of the Iowa STEM Initiative show that 3/4 of leaders feel more confident, an increase in interest in pursuing STEM careers, and an increase in understanding. The report is huge. I will report more data after I finish reading it. Camp in a Can is so fortunate to be a part of the 2013-14 year.
The results of Iowa's second year of Scale Up are about to be announced and Monica will be at the Capitol for the Governor's press conference. Rumor has it the outcomes or Iowa's STEM Initiative are great. Watch the news on Monday for more details.
