Join Great Plains Diabetes as we present the first annual Live Well with Diabetes event for those who live with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, who are at risk for diabetes, their families and health professional at the Sedgwick County Extension Center on Saturday, November 3 and 4. Event Partners are the American Diabetes Association, the Extension Service, Hagan and Associates, and the KU Sch
ool of Pharmacy. Exhibits and free public education from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
9.5 hours of CEUs for nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, physical therapist, EMTs on Friday from 8 am to 8:30 PM Vendors on Friday from 2 to 6 PM for Health Professionals only. KU School of Pharmacy will be conducting lab tests related to diabetes as well as doing blood pressures and providing medication evaluations. Exhibitors and sponsors are being sought who have an interest in improving the lives of those with diabetes and reducing the risks of developing diabetes. Our goal is to reach 800 participants plus 150 health professionals. A tentative schedule is included in the sponsor packet. The exhibit hall will be open to the public from 9 am to 3 pm. There is no charge or registration required for the event except for health professionals for the CEU program. Additional information in the near future regarding registration.
