We gift classrooms, spreading cheer,
Max Rhymes books for kids far and near. Empowering kids with books for free,
building literacy and values instinctively.

Due to early brainwave changes, science has proven the learning stage between ages 0-7 is one of the most important of our lives. Max Rhymes takes advantage of this learning period by teaching core values, creating a positive belief system, increasing reading retention and creating higher self-esteem, all through the power of rhymes.

Literacy is more than reading - it’s a key that unlocks opportunity, confidence, and lifelong success.

Yet, 54% of U.S. adults read below a 6th-grade level, and 64% of 4th graders are not reading proficiently. This multigenerational crisis impacts everything from economic growth to community safety and civic engagement.

We believe literacy is a right, not a privilege. 📖 Let’s rewrite the future, together.

Every child deserves the chance to read, imagine, and thrive.
But for millions of kids in the U.S., that opportunity doesn’t exist.

📉 Up to 61% of low-income families have no children’s books at home.
📚 45% of children live in neighborhoods where books are out of reach - no libraries, no bookstores, and no affordable access.
That means an estimated 32.4 million American children are growing up without the tools they need to learn, dream, or succeed.

These aren’t just numbers. They represent students who arrive at kindergarten already behind, who struggle with confidence, who fall through the cracks, and it all starts with not having books.

At Max Rhymes Foundation, we’re working to close that gap, one classroom at a time.

Access to books should never depend on zip code. With your help, we can continue placing powerful, literacy-rich materials in the hands of the children who need them most.

Screens are everywhere, but that doesn’t mean they have to take over your child’s day! You can create healthy routines that reduce screen time and encourage more reading and writing at home. Here’s how:

🧠 1. Set a “tech-free” block each day for reading. Even 15–20 minutes daily makes a difference!

📚 2. Replace tablets with fun, age-appropriate stories like Max Rhymes® books that are engaging and educational.

📝 3. Have your child write or draw about what they read. This builds writing skills and strengthens comprehension.

📺 4. When screens are on, make them work for you, turn on subtitles to support word recognition and fluency.

💛 5. Let your kids see you reading too. When reading is normalized at home, they’re more likely to enjoy it.

While math scores have slowly climbed post-pandemic, reading scores have flatlined, and in some grades, they've dropped even further!

New data shows reading achievement remains stuck at pandemic-era lows. Reading is the foundation of all learning, without it, full recovery is out of reach.

That’s why Max Rhymes gives kids stories that build skills and spark curiosity, starting in kindergarten. 📚 Recovery begins with reading.

At Max Rhymes, we believe literacy is just the beginning. Our stories are packed with positive values like:

Teaching has never been more challenging!

âś… Over 60% of U.S. teachers leave the profession within five years.

âś… Many report burnout, lack of support, and the overwhelming need to fill gaps that go beyond the curriculum.

âś… And with strong character traits and values no longer being taught consistently at home, teachers are tasked with doing it all - educating, guiding, mentoring, and managing classrooms of children who may have never held a book before.

This is not sustainable...

That’s why Max Rhymes® exists: to alleviate some of the pressure by offering schools free educational tools that help teach literacy, responsibility, respect, and kindness.

Through our classroom adoption model, generous donors help bring our 5-book sets and teacher resources directly into K-2 classrooms across the country, especially those in low-income or at-risk areas.

We believe every child deserves access to books and every teacher deserves the support to help their students thrive. Let’s build a better future together. 📚💛 👉 maxrhymesfoundation.org

Did you know 65% of U.S. students aren’t reading at grade level?

That’s two out of every three kids struggling with the most essential skill for success. 👀

We’re on a mission to change that, with early rhyming books that build brains, character, and confidence! Follow us for all things reading and literacy! 📚

Reading isn’t just a school skill, it’s the key to a child’s future success.

Studies show that children who aren’t reading proficiently by 3rd grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. But the effects go far beyond academics. Literacy influences everything from self-confidence and job readiness to mental health, income, and civic engagement.

When a child learns to read, they unlock the ability to learn anything.

That’s why Max Rhymes® starts early - with fun, engaging rhyming books designed to build strong foundational reading skills and positive character traits like kindness, responsibility, and self-respect!

Because when kids believe in themselves, they don’t just read better.... they live better. 📚 ✨

Our Story

Max Rhymes - The First and Only Nursery Rhymes That Instinctively Teach Lifelong Positive Behavioral Patterns for Young Children, ages of 0-7.

Keeping your bucket list open!

The first thing I should tell you is that neither myself nor Jackie ever had “author” on our bucket list’s. In fact, when Jackie first mentioned “we” should write children’s books, I cut her off saying, “there’s enough cute children’s books in the world.” It’s too long a story to provide here, but as you can see, she won that battle….again!

The shock of stumbling upon a scientist!
