May is Mental Health Awareness Month. It's an important time to reduce stigma, normalize conversations about mental health, foster empathy, and ensure people know they are not alone.

But around here every day is an opportunity for not just awareness, but also mental health action.

This brings us to Heads & Hearts Together. A lot has been said about this ambitious and groundbreaking program, but the best feedback comes from the children and their families who connect with our staff and begin the process of overcoming trauma.

Heads & Hearts Together promotes the social and emotional well-being of our students and their families. It includes trauma-informed intervention, training, and therapy for the families at our Creative Options for Early Childhood Education.

Our five Creative Options locations throughout Aurora and Denver facilitate individual development for children through family support and a nurturing educational environment. Our focus is each child’s strengths, while promoting their social-emotional, cognitive, communicative, and physical development.
