This month, Gratitude is our core virtue. As we approach the holiday season, we encourage all students, families, and staff to take time to reflect on the blessings in your lives and express thankfulness!

Please remember that there will be 𝐍𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. Classes and scheduled activities will resume on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

🍂 This month, our school's core virtue is Gratitude! Gratitude is thankfulness for the gift of life and the gifts in life. It's about noticing the good things, big and small, every single day.

💡 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞:

Start a Family Gratitude Jar! Every evening, have each person write down one thing they are grateful for that day and put it in the jar. Open and read them all at the end of the month!

💧 Please Send a Water Bottle with Your Student 💧

As part of our commitment to student health and well-being, we kindly remind you to send your child to school each day with a refillable water bottle.

Staying hydrated helps students stay focused and feel their best. Proper hydration can:
▪️ Reduce headaches
▪️ Eases sore throats, especially during allergy or cold seasons
▪️ Prevent constipation
▪️ Support healthy digestion and nutrient absorption
▪️ Improve overall energy and concentration

‼️Please note: We ask that students do not bring squirt-style water bottles, as they can cause spills and distractions in the classroom. A bottle with a secure, closeable lid is preferred.

Yesterday and on this day in the past, the world experienced deep loss. We do not condone violence of any kind. Today we pause to remember and honor all lives that were lost.

Vanguard Classical School extends our thoughts and compassion to every family, friend, and community touched by tragedy yesterday and through the years. May we find comfort in supporting one another and in holding space for healing.

Join us at our East Campus Wednesday evening! There will be food trucks, entertainment and 28 different organizations providing free family resources!
