2015 La Raza Youth Leadership Conference 04/30/2015

The 2015 La Raza Youth Leadership Institute's 23rd annual Conference.

What a weekend!!!

The 2015 La Raza Youth Leadership Conference-“Sueños sin Fronteras, Dreams Without Borders” was a BIG success. We are excited to announce that approximately 1, 000 middle and high school aged youth (12-18) from across Colorado were in attendance for this one this “One of Kind” Conference. This year, the LRYLC offered a wide array of workshops for the youth like-A free legal clinic, Hip-hop, poetry, and spoken word workshop, Teen Dating Violence, HIV awareness & prevention, communicating with new media, fighting the school to prison pipeline, DACA and the rights for teen parents-and many, many more.

It was an honor to have Mayor, Michael Hancock there! He gave a dynamic speech to all of our young participants about the importance of education being focus and setting dreams and aspirations for yourself.

We are thoroughly excited to announce that we handed out close to $8,000 in scholarships and youth academic awards to participants attending the conference.

The 2015 LRYLC would not have been as huge of a success without the numerous and committed community partners, sponsors, donors, volunteers, BOD, and Servicios staff. Special thanks to:
