The Shoe Crew community came together in full force last night for our Celebration of Learning! This Shoemaker tradition was a culmination of our students’ hard work and curiosity throughout the year.

Our students stepped up as experts, confidently sharing with their families, friends, and teachers about a massive range of topics: 
🐝 Plants & pollinators
💧The importance of saving water
🦒 Custom-designed zoos
🫁 The inner workings of the human body
🌎 Indigenous Peoples and their regions
..and so, so much more!

A huge thank you to our incredible Crew Leaders and community for guiding and supporting our students to this proud moment.

We had amazing support during our Teacher Appreciation Week! A special thank you to our neighbors at Santiago's Mexican Restaurants on Hampden Ave for the breakfast burritos to help us start the day. We are so grateful for community partnership! 🪴💚

Behind the scenes! A whole Crew of tin men, munchkins, witches, and Dorothys came together on Friday to put on a magical, musical rendition of Wizard of Oz.

This was Dance Club's 10th Annual Production and the spirit and energy were high. There's no place like Shoemaker.. 🌪👠🦁

Last week was also Nurses Appreciation Day. Our very own Nurse Panni does so much for our students and school community each day! Whether she’s helping a student through an injury, managing medications, or supporting families, Panni is a steady and important part of our community. Our students know they are cared for when they walk into her office, and that matters deeply. Nurse Panni also volunteers her own time to run chess club for students which creates another opportunity for kids to connect, learn, and grow! ♟️ Thank you, Panni, for the care, time, and energy you give to Shoemaker and our kids. 🌱💚
