What is adaptive golf? Golf that has been modified or made more accessible for people with physical, sensory, intellectual, or neurological differences. 🙏Thank you to the United States Golf Association and local golf organizations for hosting tournaments and bringing attention and visibility to adaptive golf and creating opportunities for everyone.

In the morning before school, one of my students picked up her guitar and played. 💛
When practicing starts happening without being asked — just because they want to — that’s when music becomes part of who they are.
This is how identity forms.
This is how confidence grows.
This is how pride is built.
So grateful for families who notice and celebrate these quiet, powerful moments. 🎸✨

Make up funny names to remember some landmark notes on the 5th and 6th strings.
3 Groovy Cats 🐱= the note of G on the 6th string, 3rd fret, and the note of C on the 5th string, 3rd fret.
5 Able Digits 👋= the note of A on the 6th string, 5th fret, and the note of D on the 5th string, 5th fret.
7 Beautiful Elephants 🐘 = the note of B on the 6th string, 7th fret, and the note of E on the 5th string, 7th fret.
The more you can imagine the image, the easier it is for your brain to hang on to it. Our brain 🧠 loves novelty.
This is a fun way to remember where some landmark notes are on your fretboard. Visualize the most outrageous images. Novelty and fun help our brains remember things.
Knowing where to find some notes on the 5th and 6th strings is a great start for building a strong foundation on the guitar, enabling you to play barre chords, understand chord construction, identify and create melodies, and effectively communicate with other musicians.
This knowledge allows you to move chord shapes to different keys, improvise, and navigate the fretboard beyond open chords, ultimately making you a more versatile and knowledgeable player. 🎶
