CoCEAL is a coalition of post-secondary and professional educators devoted to the educational success of the state’s Latino/Hispanic population. The group grew out of a larger, statewide Hispanic Association of College and University group that began to meet in earnest in July of 2008. The intent of the group is to build a sustainable coalition of professional educators at the post-secondary level

In a time of shifting policies and heightened scrutiny, educators and nonprofit professionals are navigating complex legal questions that directly impact how we serve students, uphold our mission, and stay true to ourselves. This virtual charla brings together legal experts from the education, non-profit, and public sectors to share insight on the current legal landscape and what practitioners, institutions and organizations should be mindful of moving forward.

Panelists will discuss emerging trends, common concerns, and practical considerations related to advocacy, compliance, and institutional decision-making and the current administration's changes to DEI, immigration, and education policies.

This space is intended for educators, staff, administrators, and allies working across Colorado's postsecondary institutions.

As a reminder, our Charlas meetings are exclusive to paid CoCEAL members only. Click here or in our bio (https://coceal.org/wp/membership/member_institutions/) for a full list of member institutions and the institutional representatives.
