We’re opening a new chapter!
Annie is still hard at work in the classroom, refining the work we’ve been doing for so long now!
Ali had a baby, has to be far from the classroom, and decided now was the time to start a parallel project!
We’d be honored if you follow along and share with any parents you know of children under 6!

Possibly controversial opinion: Can we dispose of the phrase "classroom management" yet?
We might get better outcomes where we aren't constantly managing if we call in a more inspiring reality.
We have five ideas on how to do that in episode 13 of That's SO EDVOLUTIONARY... out now on your preferred podcast platform!

This week we're sharing 4 strategies for ENGAGING and EMPOWERING classroom 'management.' The kind that increases student independence and social cohesion so you don't have to manage and manage and manage in perpetuity. Sound good?
One strategy that we personally are always working on: reducing teacher voice (we're talkers if you didn't know). We share several ideas for how to do this as well as FOUR MORE STRATEGIES in this week's episode.
Scroll through to see how you can grab a free copy of our whiteboard routine to see how we bake "reduction in teacher voice" into our lessons!

Every day, when challenges at school arise, a teacher somewhere is told that the answer is that they just need to build better relationships.
Most know there is enormous truth to this.
But the unfair thing is that the traditional school day is NOT designed to build real, supportive relationships. If I'm managing a whole class through an objective... how can I possibly be responsive or get to know one child (without giving up my lunch break or prep time day after day)?
This week's second of two episodes (Episode 12) goes into how we've been thinking about this challenge and planning for BOTH relationships and student autonomy (another key ingredient in motivation for learning/decreasing behavior challenges).
Magic seriously happens when these two are at the foundation of your school day.
Listen to this week's episode of That's SO EDVOLUTIONARY to learn more! (And subscribe while you're at it so you don't have to search next time!)
