Feeling extra grateful this year for so many reasons.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For my health, family, friends, and intution.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2020 though has made me appreciate all of my "mistakes" and "failures" on such a deeper level.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The process of continually learning how to surrender, letting go of what doesn't work, and leaning into what does work has been so freaking beautiful.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All of the feedback of this year has been priceless.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Yesterday I got the nicest compliment...

I was told how much someone admired and looked up to my assertiveness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At first I wanted to deflect, play it down, and instead I just sat in it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself is to sit in your power and to actually feel the appreciation of all that you are.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The universe is constantly sending us reminders, messages, and nudges of what we seek.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you sit in a compliment and in your power you are allowing your essence to shine through.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Gratitude we all know is a powerful practice, and being grateful for your beauty + power is part of energetically upleveling yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A great practice of this is to ask friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances to name 1-3 things they appreciate about you and just bask in the beauty of receiving this.

When I first started meditating I had no idea what I was doing and I was really doing it because I was out of solutions
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What I quickly learned was that meditation gives so much more in return when you surrender to it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I would sit and meditate waiting to get that a-ha about why I was questioning my relationship, my job, and feeling as if I was hitting a wall.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meditation taught me that often we don't actually desire solutions, we don't really want that quick fix.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No, meditation will teach you that you want peace.
What you truly desire is to reclaim who you've always known yourself to be.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meditation teaches you to fine tune to energy so you can learn not only how to manifest, you learn how to build respectful boundaries - you learn that it's safe to trust yourself.

Even Disclosure has figured out that everything is energy!

In what are you giving and receiving in your relationships?
How do you show up and talk about money?
What do you say when you talk about yourself?
What are your everyday routines and how do you feel about them?
In what ways are you standing in your own way?

You can upgrade your energetic profile easily and effortlessly with a bit of awareness, a readiness to heal, and a mindset shift.

THE #1 THING I DID TO MAKE MORE MONEY AND MORE IMPORTANTLY FOUND HAPPINESS 👇🏽

I learned to trust myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I began to trust myself I found intuitive nudges that led me to work that I love AND paid what I wanted, it led me to soul connections, and it led me to a happier, more fulfilling life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It wasn’t easy to get here.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had to own up to some really hard realities of lacking boundaries, terrible responsibility toward money, and constantly seeking external validation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was when I got honest and forgave myself that I learned to trust.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s when the Universe really had my back.
It doesn’t have to suck and be full struggle anymore. Seek help and trust your intuition so you can free yourself again.

Looking back on how we got here, one thing is evident.

We have lost our way from kindness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So many people believe that kindness is weak. It is dare I say - detrimental.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The reality is that if we look back on history, remember the BEAUTIFUL nature of life. It is the company, the love, and those we are surrounded bu that make life so freaking amazing.

Tomorrow. Let’s be kind.

I was talking to the kiddos today who were judging the other party. Reminding them that tearing each other down with teasing, hate, and shame gets us nowhere.

I have always loved shopping.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Putting together fabrics and colors to create an aesthetic of me has brought me joy from a very young age.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
During my masters program and as I began teaching I developed more of a love/hate relationship with my clothes and image.
Behind the scenes I felt a slave to style, I couldn't afford what I was wearing and I did it anyway.
I would constantly get compliments about my style and then feel extreme shame guilt for the way I felt chained to my wallet
So I started to complain about it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The thing is, energy flows where attention goes,
so the more I complained, the more I thought about clothes, and the more I shopped.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had to gradually declutter my mind, wallet, and closet to build a relationship with my style that I loved.
It was necessary for me to observe the shadows of my money relationship to be able to rebuild a healthy relationship.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, I love my clothes.
I love to make "style desire" lists and have goals to work toward in my life.
Your money can be a key to happiness when you know how to find the right door for your own key.
