Favorite thing about DU: “Growing up, my parents fostered an environment of curiosity. They always wanted me to try new things, which is why I chose a school across the country. While Charleston, SC, was a great place to grow up, I wanted something different for college. DU has given me access to countless irreplaceable experiences and friendships. I camp or hike almost every weekend, activities that used to be a rarity. DU is a community like no other, with a palpable sense of acceptance and curiosity.”

Why DG: “Coming from the south, I had a somewhat skewed perspective of Greek life. It didn’t seem like something I would be interested in, but I kept an open mind and went through the rush process. I was shocked at how genuine and kind the girls I met were. However, one house that stood out to me was Delta Gamma. I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging, and their energy was contagious. I am constantly surprised by the true generosity and kindness that encapsulates our chapter. DG has fostered an incredible group of women who work hard and support each other to the fullest. I am so proud to be a part of this family and forever grateful for everything I’ve learned from my beautiful sisters- love you ladies”

Favorite thing about DU:
The people and the place! I love the sense community here; being able to walk around campus and know that I’ll see friendly faces is so nice. I also love the access to the mountains. I’m not from Colorado, so being able to explore the Rockies so easily is incredible.

Why DG:
When I got to DU I wasn’t even sure I wanted to rush. I told myself I would only make the commitment to join a sorority that I truly felt I had a place in. I remember DG was the last house that I went to during round one, and I immediately fell in love with every girl I talked to. Not only that, but every time I would come back to deeg, I found myself connecting with the other girls that deeg also kept asking back throughout the process. I knew there and then that DG would be my place. I love that I can have a great conversation with every girl in the sorority, and that walking into the deeg house is as comfortable as walking into my own home. This sorority has brought me some of my greatest college experiences and gifts, including some of my future bridesmaids. Being a part of deeg truly feels like being a part of something special and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
